In our March newsletter, we were still optimistic about a swift end to the “Crisis”. Unfortunately, after 9 months we are forced to conclude that we are still very much in the middle of it. On the positive side, this situation has shown us different sides of companies and people’s characteristics. Every company and every person deals with this exceptional situation in their own way.
We can consider ourselves lucky to work in a sector that to date has suffered very little from all the restrictions. Of course, we have to work from home, we are not allowed to visit customers, travel, etc., but we have also learned to maintain contacts creatively through communication tools such as Teams, Zoom and Skype.
We have also been able to pick up things that had been left to one side. Within our team, for example, we have accelerated language courses and continued commercial training. We have also explored new products and concepts.
As Winston Churchill said: “Never waste a good crisis”.
We are ready to enter the new year. Our team has been expanded, new challenges are waiting and E.F.S. celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2021. Plenty of reasons to go all out again in the New Year.
I want to thank everyone who contributed to our company’s development last year. All that remains is to wish our relations, acquaintances and colleagues a good, but above all, healthy end to 2020.
