Our sector continuously faces challenges. No sooner has one crisis been averted than the next challenge crops up. On TV this week: a documentary about cultured meat. Animal protein grown from stem cells. Challenge or threat to our sector? These cells also need to grow and need space and food.
Our sector is part of a circular economy. Can we use waste streams in cultured meat production? Perhaps it is good to start thinking whether additives can make these cells grow faster! All in all there is still a lot coming our way and a myriad of opportunities.
Enjoy the newsletter!
