The use of glucosamine and chondroitin in pet food is growing. Both are added to feed and fed to pets as a supplement to keep their joints flexible.
Glucosamine as well as chondroitin are available at E.F.S. in dry form. They are both a source of sulphate. Mussel powder contains glucosamine sulphate and chondroitin contains chondroitin sulphate. Both come from a natural source and have a high bioavailability.
The joints of older animals (and people) are subject to degeneration. Different studies show that a combination of both products lubricates the joints and contributes to cartilage development.
